Three Month Update

I know I know I know... I need to blog just a little be more....Im trying...just not hard enough I guess. I am soooo in love with this set of Locs and I am soooo glad i restarted them. If you have been following my for a while you know I have been rocking locs for over a year now, however I restarted my locs three months ago.

Well in these last three months my hair has matured by leaps and bounds....I mean i am so amazed at how fast my hair is locking. I already have locks...its crazy.

I have colored my hair twice since i started this new journey the first time myself and the second a professional and its still not the color i want so i am planning to try it again...

Well i dont have much to say I just wanted to give you guys an update. Please enjoy all the pix

So I kinda lied...Forgive me please!!!

I have had my new locs for just over two months and I love them. They are locking so well...much faster than the first set...many of my ends are locking well...I'm so excited...I will try my best to keep you guys better informed on my hair's progress..
Last week marked two whole months for this set of locs so I decided to dye them. The color looks ok but its not what I wanted. I am going to get it recolored in a few weeks at the salon...
Thanks for reading and enjoy the pix...until next time

Starting over

I don't know why I did it...but I did!!!! Yes one day i decided to pick out a lock just to see what it would look like, how it would feel, how much it had grown. Well the next thing i knew it was 3 weeks later and I was picking out the last lock. So for 2 weeks I have been wearing my hair free. And guess what? I mostly kept my hair in two strand twist. Because its easy and looks great. Well I cant take it! its only been two weeks and I am done. Last night I washed my hair and palm rolled it. The last set of locks I had were great but I had 215 and some were too small and some a lil too big. So this time I took my time with my parts and used 2 mirrors to make sure it looked good. Well now I have only have 114 locks...I was going for about 150 or so but I think these are a good size and 114 will work out just fine. I will post pics soon.

Major Shrinkage

Talk about shrinkage! Earlier in the locking process I thought I understood shrinkage because a few days after a fresh re-twist my hair would begin to curl back up. But now 7 months into this journey I know better. For the most part my locks have dropped (with the exception of just a few) and so when I wash most of them no longer curl up but they just hang. Looking back at my pictures my hair now looks shorter then when I started, or may be the same exact length, but definitely not any longer. So for those of you who are thinking about locking just know that there will come a time when your hair will look as if it is not growing. And the only way that I can describe it is that my locks are getting thicker and denser. They no longer curl and bend they way they did in the beginning. I am still however enjoying this process and I am excited see the continued changes.

Teenagers

Well, it has once again been more than one month since I last posted. I will do better from now on. My locs are now about 97% locked and they have finally dropped. I am soooo excited. So now I guess I am officially in the teenage phase of my journey. I have noticed many changes in my hair. My hair looks so much shorter now and its is harder to pull my hair into my fav styles because my hair is not as stretchy now...lol (Loc wears now what I mean...lol)

During month five I decided that I wanted extensions and so I did them myself..it took forever because I have 215 locs. Having the extra hair was great. I was able to try new styles that I see seasoned loc wearers do. And with out trying I fooled many many people into thinking my locs grew that fast. I mean the hair blended so well. If people asked or commented on my growth I told the truth but most people never asked and I never told. Well After two months of extensions I was ready to have my own hair back. One reason is simply because I love to change my hair. Always have always will...lol But also because of the texture of the weave. Not to brag but my hair is pretty soft and that stuff is hard so i got tired of it rubbing against my skin and stiff...

So now its all me again and I'm loving it. I am truly enjoying this journey and I will work harder at posting more often. Enjoy the pix
