I started this blog to write about my Locks but alas they are gone and I have other things on my mind like weight loss, marriage, motherhood, and loose natural hair! I’m ordering P90X and will be uploading pix and documenting my journey here and on Youtube. Look me up under EmonofZion.

2 Months Sisterlocks Update
Well it has been 2 months and 8 days since I had my locks installed. I am truly enjoying these little babies. I have had a few challenges so far and had to switch consultants but I am back on track.I love my carefree easy going hair. I honestly just get up spritz with water shake and go every morning. No fuss no muss. With my hair being so short it is a bit of a challenge to feel cute at all times, but I love the shape of my last cut and I think my hair is going to look really good as it grows out.
My biggest challenge is combating slippage. Right now I am wearing lots of hats and head wraps so I have my shortest locks on the sides and in the back pinned up to try to keep the hair from moving. I will let you guys know if this little "trick" is working in a few weeks.
Washing
I have washed my hair twice in the last 6 weeks. The first time I washed out so many locks I could have cried and 3 weeks ago I washed them the did before my consultant fixed me back up. So needless to say I am in no rush to wash again. I spritz with water regularly. When I wash I braid and band, and spritz the SL shampoo in mu bair and work it in good before I get in the shower. I wear a stocking cap when I rinse and I do one final rinse for about 30 seconds without the cap before I get out. I'm hoping that will help to reduce slippage also. My sides are very short so short they were too short to lock at the first install see the pic below.
So you can see why I am trying so hard to protect my itty bitty babies. I have also been taking Hairfinity so I think thats aiding in hair growth. My looks already needed to be re-tightened after only 3 weeks.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and follow my journey and I look forward to more updates for you guys. Take care.
